JoJo’s Top 10 Styling Tips For Wearing a Poncho!
When trying to pull off wearing your favorite poncho or shall you may find it difficult to style correctly. A poncho's wide shape needs to be balanced out with the right styling techniques. Below are some of JoJo’s favorite styling tips on what to wear with your poncho to stay warm and stylish this fall/winter season!
Poncho With A Legging
Pairing a poncho with leggings is probably my favorite way to style a poncho. They are by nature a little oversized and pair easily with a slim bottom. It’s a casual and easy way to wear them with boots or sneakers as your shoe. The relaxed casual combination of a poncho and leggings is super easy to throw together in seconds time, helping you look chic and prepared for anything without spending too much time digging through your closet. Looking to add a glam twist? Finish with a pair of black leather ankle boots.
Poncho With Denim
You can always wear your poncho with jeans too! I love to wear a poncho or oversized shall with a straight leg denim. Open ponchos, like our Jade Fringe Poncho are the perfect pairing for any t-shirt and jeans. whether you pair them with OTK boots, ankle booties, or even sneakers, everything is cute! Always try to get creative with your layering pieces, a great basic tee is fine but there are so many other options!
Pair a Poncho Over a Dress
Lastly, JoJo loves the option of adding a cute poncho over any dress. They are a fun outer layer for winter. A great alternative to a cardigan or jacket. I personally love adding an OTK or tall boot with a dress and poncho. Styling your poncho with a skirt is also a great styling option!
Wear a belt with your Poncho
JoJo loves a poncho with a belt!! It helps hold the poncho on and gives great shape. Anyone can pull off the poncho and belt look, but, if you have a smaller frame keep in mind not belting the poncho, you run the risk of looking frumpy and oversized.
